In 1982, a low-interest rate loan was secured from FmHA (now Rural Development) for the purpose of constructing a 24-unit senior housing project in Olathe, Colorado that has had a zero-vacancy rate since opening. The facility is within walking distance to the heart of downtown Olathe. The Project consists of 6 one-story 4-plex units. Several of the units will accomodate handicap individuals.

Each of the 24 one-bedroom unassisted living units has a spacious 650 sq ft area which consists of a bedroom, bath, kitchen and living area. Each unit has a front entrance as well as a rear entrance to a private patio. The units are equipped with an emergency security system monitored by a 24-hour emergency answering service.

The facility contains a common area community gathering space and laudromat. A pot luck luncheon is held in the community room on the first Wednesday of each month at noon. There is plenty of grassed in areas and even a common area garden shared by those with a green thumb.
